I'd like to announce that I'm going to "precut" the copper range steel rock cars to sell. The first ones should be up and for sale by the end of Feb at \topurl{http://www.blockchoice.com,http://www.blockchoice.com} They'll be cut, and re-assembled, primed and painted flat black, ready for you to do final assembly, decaling, and weathering.

Hello. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture your "precut" cars. Do you know what the price of each will be? I was planning on purchasing a bunch of the cars and cutting them up, but if you're going to be selling them, I'll wait. Thanks, Tim

Another question... What would be the difference if a modeler started with one of Accurail's 2500 Series USRA 55-Ton Hoppers vs. the Bowser model, when building Copper Range steel rock cars? The accurail models are less expensive and only need minimal modifications. Am I missing something? Thanks, Tim

The Bowser model is quite simple really, it just involves the middle section being cut out, and trimming of part of the top. I'm thinking about $12-$15 just for the cuts, sanding and re-gluing, and $25 or so primed, with trucks and couplers, a bottle of black paint, and decals (when I can find someone to make some). I can get the Bowser hoppers for around $100 for 12, so...

I was curious on how you do make the cuts...With a Dremel tool? Small tablesaw? Tracksaw? I've read Kevin's article and it seems quite simple. Thanks, Tim

Sorry its taken me so long, I'm getting caught up in transitioning out of the Marine Corps, just about 2 months left now. Hopefully I can have the first 12 cars delivered here soon, and start the process of cutting. My question is, would you rather me just do the cutting and pre-assembly, primer, or RTR?
