As stated last month, Stanton Township and the DEQ have removed the upper 13 feet of the Redridge wooden dam. I expected the damage upstream to be greater than it was but the damage to the dam was extensive. In this photo you can see where the dam was removed as the side foundation is still in place. I wonder if the trees will regrow on this newly nuetered dam like the old one had after several decades. Does this location count as a man made waterfall in addition to a wooden dam remnant? shawn in wyandotte
