Builder's photo of Hancock & Calumet #5 "Iroquois", A small narrow gauge 2-8-0 Consolidation built in 1887 by Baldwin. A recent question at "The Depot" prompted me to look through my photos of one of the first Copper Country railroads. The railroad was built in 1885 to service the mining interests of the Osceola & Tamarack mines but also moved freight and passengers. Later controlled by the Mineral Range and then the DSS&A.
